The Z2 race will host the ISMF Long Distance World Championships on Saturday 20 April 2024.
It’s the perfect present to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the PdG. On 20 April 2024, the Patrouille des Glaciers will host the International Ski Mountaineering Federation (ISMF) Long Distance World Championships on its Z2 course between Zermatt and Verbier (program), thus reinforcing the Patrouille des Glaciers’ image on the international ski-mountaineering scene.
The athletes taking part in this prestigious competition will set off from the foot of the Matterhorn at 2 am and 3 am respectively. The fastest will attempt to challenge the 5 hour and 35 minute record set by the Italian patrol in 2018.
